Much like a histogram can graph light for a photograph, Italy seems to have mastered this quality with food.  Rather than moving a slider to bring out colors, my palate has experienced a full range mastered by artists.  One may argue that photography has only become easier given the onset of technology but I see it as a new challenge.  A potato does not taste any less a potato if cut with a mandolin versus a knife.  What this brings is a metaphore for photography.  Ease does not make it any less a challenge but an opportunity to explore more channels.

One can learn to sketch and shoot anywhere but we all made the choice to come to Rome and become inspired.  We have experienced what I feel a melting pot of talent both at the geographic level and simply in this class alone.  Where this can be experienced in any environment, we chose to photoshop our experience, jazz it up, and experience efficiency.  Sure, one can argue for the originals, the classics, the "old way" but we also could have also taken months to get to Rome and lost someone to scurvy.
